"Why did you have to mention that in the presence of everyone here?" Magnus attacked Logan who turned towards me with a smirk.

"May I have a word with you, Emily?" He requested with a gentle voice, but I was hesitant to go with him. My eyes rolled towards Ava, and she got up, understanding what I meant by that.

She quickly rushed to her mind to send me an urgent message. "I'll be right behind you. Go ahead and have a word with him."

I nodded my head in agreement with her words, as I moved towards Logan while Magnus watched us leave.
