Marcus's POV

There was a loud knock on the door, and I was being patient enough to resist the urge to push it open and rip out the throat of anyone standing right there.

"Please come in." I said, and the door was pushed open, revealing the face of a middle-aged man. Some guards were waiting behind him, and my guards seemed quite afraid of him.

I rose to my feet reluctantly as my eyes monitored his whole attire from what was on his shoulders to what his legs were tucked in.
