All around me, the theatre takes on a thunderous applause from the people who are standing, clapping and cheering. Within me, there's a different type of thunder, and even though the applause is enough to drown out the roar of a lion, I can still hear my heart beat pounding in my ears.
Dan is oblivious to the turmoil I'm going through as he's also a part of the crowd clapping and standing. The strobe lights are no longer bouncing all around as their focus is now solely on the stage and the men smiling and bowing.
Yes, they did a great job, but my attention is now focused...
