I dared not glance backward to see what Tristan was doing but I knew that he hadn't gone away. I could feel his hot breath on my neck and I knew that he wasn't very far away. His presence behind me made me feel feverishly hot and I opened my jacket and dropped it onto the couch.

The tell-tale click of the door made me turn around. I saw Tristan gazing at me with dark eyes and erratic breathing as he shut the door, locking it well. My breath hitched in anticipation when he opened his jacket and threw it on a couch nearby.
