A nagging thought kept swirling in my head. I tried to let it go, but it just wouldn't disappear. The feeling was something akin to the sting of betrayal. Of having realized a secret that had been kept from me my whole life.

My best friend since childhood had been accused of being a werewolf. Up until now, I had always thought that she was human, just like me. But now, I wasn't so sure.
