Leaving Bristol, I went back to London.

I reckoned that I should go see Eleanor, to tell her my feelings and decision.

Eleanor had nothing to do with Stella's death. So, I shouldn't have estranged Eleanor indifferently because of my partiality for Stella, which was not fair to her.

I should have been responsible for Eleanor because I had forced her to marry me and to have sex with me.

Eleanor was my mate. I loved and wanted to protect her, which was the most real and sincere thought in my heart. Even if I had averted her, I still could not deceive myself.
