Eleanor's POV

As soon as Lawrence escaped, Madison's figure cut through the doorway, closely followed by her usual horde of hunters.

Madison rushed up to me when she caught sight of me. She tried to help me get up, but with my injured leg, I couldn't move. So, she helped me to sit up before asking, "Eleanor, what happened?"

She looked at Charles and Bena and frowned. "Who was here? Lawrence?"

I knew I couldn't hide it from her. So I nodded my head, "Lawrence came to save me and Bena died trying to save him."

I hid the fact that Bena was the reason why I had been captured...
