Although Parker was ostensibly speaking to Lawrence and me, I felt that he was implying something else.

Did he already know about me and Stella? Otherwise, why would he keep bringing up Stella's name? He had done so ever since we first met at the villa. The way he behaved, it was as if he wanted to remind Lawrence that Stella's death had something to do with me, it was as if he wanted to drive a wedge between Lawrence and me.

However, Parker's efforts were to be in vain. Lawrence said in a threatening tone, "I haven't forgotten Stella, and as for you..."
