As soon as the door slams behind the Alpha, Clarita turns to me.

Her face is twisted with jealousy, which completely obscures her previous beauty.

“And if I thought I had a chance with him, he can't take his eyes off you. A mated she-wolf, at it!”, she exclaims, agitated. “Zane, Glary and now Rainer too! Seriously, Mercedes? What do you have that I don't? You're still a virgin! I can offer Rainer so much more!”.
