"No, you can afford to take it," Amos insisted. "You're my woman. I can give you anything I want."

Eudora still shook her head. "You may have the right to give it to me, but I can still choose whether to accept it or not."

Amos pursed his lips. He was completely defeated by this little woman. He had prepared this gift for her so ecstatically, but she refused to accept it.

"Okay. It's fine if you don't want it. What do you want then? I'll prepare it for you."

Eudora felt a tug in her heart. "If I said that I want you, is that possible?"
