The voice sounded gentle in Deviana’s ears as she sat alone in a small café. Her hands were still trembling as she held a cup of coffee that had long gone cold, her eyes staring blankly out the window. The bitter memory from last night—when she saw Adrian kissing Leviana—kept replaying endlessly in her head.
Deviana jolted in surprise. She turned, and standing before her was a man with a warm smile. “Arga…” her voice nearly broke.
