Henry stirred awake, his head pounding slightly. Beside him, the lady from last night lay sprawled across the sheets, still fast asleep.

“I thought she said she could handle it,” Henry muttered under his breath, reaching for his phone on the bedside drawer.

He squinted at the screen. Missed calls, Dad... Mum...

“Seriously? These two again. They called me like a million times yesterday,” he sighed, tossing the phone back. “I’m not returning their calls. God knows what they’re up to this time.”
