Jaxon finally broke the silence with a chuckle. “Alright, alright. If we find dates, we’ll take them. Deal?”

I nodded quickly, my smile tight but playful. “Yeah, no pressure. If we find, we’ll go.”

Mom clapped her hands once, satisfied. “Good. That’s all we ask. Prom is once in a lifetime, after all.”
