For a moment, I didn’t even move. My body still felt heavy from sleep, the sheets warm, the light outside a soft gold. Jaxon stirred beside me, stretching before realizing something had made the sound.
We exchanged a look. Neither of us spoke.
He pushed himself up slowly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Room service?”
“It’s too early,” I whispered.
