The room was heavy with silence. The air felt too thick to breathe. Every light on the cameras had gone dark — but the tension still burned bright between us.

Jaxon stood there for a second, chest rising fast, eyes locked on the boy. Then he moved — fast.

He grabbed the boy by his shirt, pulling him off the bed.

“Do you have any idea what you’ve done?” Jaxon’s voice was low, shaking with anger.

The boy’s lips trembled. “I-I’m sorry—”

Jaxon didn’t wait. His fist connected with the boy’s jaw — a quick, sharp hit that made him stumble back.

Aaron flinched, but didn’t move to help....
