"Charles? Is that you?" Alice's voice traveled towards us.

I scrunched up my nose in disgust, shielding my eyes from the flashlight directed at my face. "Do I look like Charlie to you?"

"A little to the left," Charlie instructed, and Alice shifted the light towards him.

He jumped on the sudden onslaught of light, and my friends and I let out a loud snort at that.

"Power cut at exactly 2:30 am, as you asked me to," Alice said, walking towards Charles.
