I watched the street lights blur past me, my head resting against the car window. The drive to the airport was at most a twenty-five minute drive but it felt much more longer and ominous. My legs wouldn't stop shaking no matter how much I tried to get them to still and the feeling in the bottom of my stomach did nothing to help the fact that I was nervous.
My mom looks back at me from the passenger seat and puts her hand on my leg to stop the shaking. The car comes to a stop and I look around to see that we're in the airport parking lot....
