A knock on my door jolted me up from the book I was reading.

I strode to the door and opened it.

It was Ruby and one other maid.

I hadn't requested for you, I said as I strode back to where I was sitting.

Yes we we instructed to bring this here,  Ruby replied.

Pointing to the carts of clothes the other maid pulled in.

Who instructed you to bring it here, I demanded.
