It hurts. I'm in pain. My body fires like it's on fire, yet I'm numb. What happened to me? My eyes couldn't open, I tried, but I was stuck in darkness. I didn't want to be in darkness, but I couldn't help it. I stopped fighting it and allowed it to envelope me. 

 I could hear a conversation. 

" Doctor Lewis! the results are back... " 

" Hmm. Infection... Sepsis?" The voices were getting distant. Faint growls are resounding as I completely fall into the dark again.
