She snuggled deeper into me as she fell asleep in my arms, and I wrapped my arms around her waist to protect her from this cruel world. Despite her ordeal, she refuses to let anyone bring her down and attempts to stand on her own two feet. She doesn't expect anyone to pick her up when she falls, but I'll be there for her every step of the way now.
