I pull the duvet around me and lull myself to sleep. Cocooned inside it, I cry in fear, as all my senses are unforgivingly assaulted by my childhood demons.
The room is quiet as I lie on the bed. My body is exhausted and damaged beyond belief. The pain of the bruises is justification enough that I may not be able to walk properly tomorrow.
