"So sorry, please. I was waiting for you both. I just had to go into the kitchen quickly." Alexis found herself talking rapidly in a bid to explain herself. She hated that she had to look flustered in front of her annoying neighbor but she tried to convince herself that it was all for the young girl. Not saying a word, Raphael put Cindy down while maintaining his position at the door. His pride was getting the best of him, but one stern look from his daughter had him confessing.
