Dante couldn't stop staring at her stomach.
"It's not going to start showing for weeks," Sienna laughed. "You know that, right?"
"I know. I just..." He touched her belly gently. Reverently. "There's a person in there. Our person."
"Our person," she repeated. Smiled. "I like the sound of that."
They were still on the porch. The news settling over them like a warm blanket. Real. Tangible. Life changing.
"We should tell Leo," Dante said.
"Now?"
"Why wait? He's going to be a big brother. He should know."
They went inside. Found Leo at the kitchen table. Homework spread out. Luna asleep at his feet.
