Dante stared at the blank screen.

The video had ended but Lorenzo's threat hung in the air. Heavy. Suffocating.

"He's alive," Sienna whispered. "He survived."

"Not just survived. Planned it." Dante's voice was flat. Dead. "The explosion. The escape. All of it. He played us."

Leo looked up from his coloring book. "Mama? Why do you look scared?"

"I'm not scared, baby." She forced a smile. "Everything's fine."

But everything wasn't fine. Lorenzo was out there. Hunting them. And they were trapped in a hospital with minimal security.

"We need to move," Dante said. "Now. Get me out of this bed."

"You can't move. You just had surgery three days...
