Darius's Pov

Marco called at three in the morning, I knew before I answered that it was bad news. Nobody calls at three in the morning with good news.

"He is moving" Marco said without any greeting. "My sources spotted the Patriarch two days ago heading north toward your territory."

"How many people does he have with him?"

"Not many. Maybe five or six but do not let that fool you. These are not regular fighters. These are his personal guard and they are all enhanced somehow."

"Enhanced how?"

"I do not know exactly. Magic or experiments or both. But my source said they do not move like normal people....
