Soraya's Pov

I woke up to the sound of Darius talking on the phone. His voice was tense and worried and even through my foggy mind I could tell something was very wrong. I tried to open my eyes but they felt so heavy like someone had placed weights on my eyelids.

I forced my eyes open and saw him sitting beside me with his phone pressed to his ear. Elder Nahara was across the room preparing something at her worktable.

"Darius," I whispered and my voice came out hoarse and weak.

He looked down at me with surprise and relief. "Soraya you are awake. How are you feeling?"
