Darius's Pov

The drainage tunnel was worse than anything I had imagined. The moment I dropped inside the smell hit me like a wall. Decay and stagnant water and things I did not want to think about. The walls were covered in slime and the floor was wet with god knows what.

"This is disgusting," Marcus muttered from behind me.

"Just keep moving," I said crawling forward.

The tunnel was barely wide enough for my shoulders and the ceiling scraped against my back with every movement. Water dripped on my head from somewhere above and the darkness was almost complete. I could barely see a few feet ahead.
