The Patriarch stood in the main hall smiling like he had already won and I wanted to rip his throat out right there. But I forced myself to stay calm and wait for the right moment to strike.

"Where is my daughter?" he asked.

"She is not your daughter. She is my mate."

"She is both, i am here to take her home."

"This is her home now."

He laughed and it sounded wrong. "You actually believe that do you not? You think because you found her first that she belongs to you. But she has always been mine."
