After we finished our meal, I leaned into Callan's legs from where I was sitting on the floor. I tipped my head back so I could see him upside down.

“What do you feel like doing today?” I asked him, the corner of his lip tipped up but Jane pointed and quickly spoke.

“Don't even say it.” She warned her brother, knowing he was about to say something dirty. It made me laugh while Callan lifted me from beneath my arms to bring me onto his lap and whispered into my ear instead.
