Why would her name be in The Book of Alphas?

My eyes went to the book on the floor as my heart pounded violently in my chest. Something just wasn't adding up. Nothing made sense to me and I felt an overwhelming sense of confusion.

My mother's name. My mother's name was in The Book of Alphas. How? She was an omega from what I remember. Then how come her name is in one of the most powerful political books in this kingdom.
