Ember's POV

I could hear voices in the darkness, they were distant but I could hear them . I walked towards the voices maybe it could lead me out of the darkness but the more I ran towards the voice, the more distant it became. It felt like there was no end to the darkness.

"Somebody help!" I yelled, hoping one of the voices would hear and reach out to me but no matter how hard or loud I yelled, there was no reply.

No one was coming to save me. I am all alone here, wherever this is. The darkness pressed down on my heart, threatening to devour all...
