I watched Black as he drove away in the car with Micah. Although I considered sending my men after them, I realized it would be futile. Black was more skilled at evading pursuit than they were, and chasing him would serve no purpose. At least Micah would be safe with him; her father still required her presence. Black wouldn't dare harm her. I needed to finish with her father before coming for her.

"Sir, we can still catch up with him if we follow him," Jose said, looking at me with determination.

I knew what Black was capable of. They wouldn't even be able to lay a finger on him...
