I had spent three days tearing this place apart. Three days of storming through back alleys, bribing informants, shaking down rogues who thought they could lie to me. My wolf prowled beneath my skin, restless, snarling at every dead end.
And every time I returned to the warehouse where we’d set up base, my chest burned with the memory of Aria. She had held our daughter close as I kissed her goodbye, her eyes swollen from crying but strong enough to meet mine.
“Bring him back, Kael,” she’d whispered, her voice breaking. “Bring our son home.”
I’d sworn to her I would. And I never break my vows....
