The camp buzzed with whispers about the Alpha Queen long after the training ended. Laura felt eyes following her everywhere she went.

She was sitting by the fire, trying to ignore the stares, when Zephyr appeared beside her.

"Walk with me," he said quietly.

Laura glanced around at the curious faces watching them. "Where?"

"Away from here." His pale eyes looked tired. "I need your help with something."

She followed him through the camp to a large tent she'd never been in before. Inside, tables were covered with old books and scrolls. Candles flickered everywhere, casting dancing shadows on the canvas walls.

"What is this place?" Laura asked.
