"Mom," we both said at the same time, and I quickly glanced at him. Did he just call her 'mom' too, or am I imagining it?

She stopped in her tracks, looking around at everyone, then whispered something to Paul and he replied immediately and her eyes landed on Knight, lighting up with a smile that just left me even more puzzled.

"What... What are you two doing here?" I asked, rolling my eyes and frowning at them.

"Hey, at least let them come in all the way first, girl. That’s kinda rude," Bluey jumped in, and I sighed, shooting them a glare.
