"Why don't you rest?" I asked Cassie seeing her pale face. After the wedding, she really was exhausted and needed the rest. It was late afternoon and the sun was about to set. Mom had insisted that we spend a few days here since we weren't going on a honeymoon. I agreed to see that Max was so happy here that he didn't cling to Cassie anymore. She could get some rest.
