Startled, Grace opened her eyes and looked over. Luis got out of the car and strode over here. Grace could not see his expression in the blinding light, but her heart was strangely frightened at the thought of his behavior the night before. She unconsciously backed away, but Jacob put his arms around her waist and whispered in her ear, "Why, are you afraid of your husband?"
