I woke up to a ruckus the next morning. I lay in bed, listening and in deep thoughts when the voices got even louder. I stood up groggily from bed and peered through the little open slit from my window, and my heart jumped to my throat. What were they doing here?

“Is anyone home?” One out of all the nine Alphas asked. I could feel the thick tension amongst all the Alphas.

Had something happened? Had they been able to find the patrons, or … Has Daemon's time run out?
