Lucy was released immediately after the incredulous dinner, a lot faster than Kain had anticipated. Her body ached from sleeping on the hard floor and being tossed around by her brother, who was not so happy that she still breathed.

Coming out of the cold cell, she glared back at the simmering hot sun, the warmth radiating on her skin as she asked herself, into it's glare, why she was already out. Honestly, it worried her more than she cared to admit.
