Kain and his brother searched the woods relentlessly for Lucy, both of them hoping ,praying to find her before she crossed into the pack’s territory.
“Shit. I think we’re too late,” Kain snapped, frustration burning down to the bone. “What the hell is she thinking?”
“You could’ve just fought her,” Kyle said again, unrelenting. “You wouldn’t have hurt her.”
