The shout instantly rang out from behind Aslan and the other vampire clan members there. Everyone was startled and immediately turned to look in the direction the voice was now coming from. It was Elliot, Zade's cousin who was now looking at all of them with an angry and unaccepting expression.

“You can't be king here! Especially with your status as Alpha of the wolf pack.” Elliot spoke again as he walked closer to Zade there. A hateful look came into Elliot's eyes, and Meira could see it very clearly. Zade looked daunted, and was not easily swayed by the shouting.
