My eyes go wide as soon as I open the gift box. The same heels that I sold this morning are inside. What on earth?!

A message from Lucas Ravenwood pops up on my phone as if he was waiting for the exact moment that I would have the box open.

"Hello dear. You should have asked me for finances instead of selling my gifts. You can keep both the money and the shoes." The message reads.

So the lady that bought the heels wasn't really an interested customer? Was she one of his insanely loyal employees? How did he even know that I was selling the heels?...
