My heart is pounding heavily. My legs are shaking.
Rafael, dressed in his usual sharp suit, held a flower in his hands. His eyes bored into mine-cold, distant. Hatred.
Those looks are back. Gone were the warm glances. We're back to the storms that always lived in him.
I took a step forward.
He didn't say a word. Not a fucking word.
But his silence rang heavier than anything he could've said.
The stares. The burning gaze. If looks could kill, I'd have a dozen arrows piercing through my damn chest.
"He looks like me," Rafael murmurs this time. It's not a question. It's realization.
