It’s been exactly five hours since I settled into this office, and Mr. Nathan, the General Manager, has been nothing short of helpful.
I was given a workspace, already arranged, all neat and tidy, so all I had to do was drop my things and claim it as mine. The moon goddess knows I hadn’t planned on actually starting work today, but fate clearly had other plans. So, here I am.
“You sly. Don’t worry, when I get home… you have some serious explaining to do.” I type quickly, stealing a moment to text Nick.
His reply comes almost instantly.
“What sort of explanation? If it has to do...
