The moment those words left his lips I steeled myself internally.

Seeing him this close after a long time brought back all the painful memories all over again.

The crowd did nothing as he took a step towards me.

One step turned into two.

And two into more till he stood right before me.

His hands lifted and I stood still saying nothing, just frozen in place as his familiar scent wafted in my nose.
