Clarita's POV still

Serene sat next to me as the pack doctor took blood samples and examined me thoroughly.

First, she gave me a glass of sugar water to stop me from vomiting. Waiting expectantly, we looked at the doctor, who looked at his equipment and then back at me.

"Hmmm." He makes that sound for the umpteenth time and it drives my nerves crazy. I wish the man would finally say something about my condition and take me out of limbo. And just then he notices my impatience as he checks my blood pressure again.

"Miss, one thing is certain. You're pregnant. Almost a month".
