“Yes, I did.” I snapped.

“Okay, I'm listening.” He acted so formally, probably to save himself from the embarrassments of rejection.

“I need to get an update on what you did with Diane. Is she out of the pack or still hiding in this estate?” I asked suspiciously, gazing at Eric from below my eye level, I was trying to detect if there would be any signs of lie.

“I handed her over to my personal assistant, she has to be out of the pack by now.”
