Colton shouted and they surrounded us, protecting us from being hit.
I leaned over and pressed my forehead against Mathew's, tears rolling down my cheeks.

I whispered and he stared up at me, taking deep breaths.

He finally managed to whisper. I didn't respond and continued to sob, as the gunfire began to slow down.
