Fumbling with the lock-box she pushed the door open and let Marie go first. They weren't even in the room for two seconds and it was apparent that this owner had a dog; and maybe more than one. The odor was pervasive and Paige remarked, "Eww, smell that? There's been a lot of 'doggie' going on in here!"
