Chad felt anger surge inside him, knowing she had put him off for well over a week and as such really did owe him something. Before he blurted out something stupid, he stopped and took a breath. They had made that agreement during the early days of dating, but had made an exception at least once. She had dug her heels in quite often on the issue, so pushing her now seemed likely to fail.
